Présenté par Lenovo, en collaboration avec le Fonds des Médias du Canada, le panel HORIZON “Télétravail et adaptation technologique” offre des conseils pour le travail à domicile et des pistes de réflexion sur la création et la production numérique à distance.

En se basant sur des entrevues et des sondages avec 70 studios à travers le Canada, le rapport Isolés Ensemble, réalisé par Marie LeBlanc Flanagan et le Game Arts International Network grâce au soutien financier du Fonds des Médias du Canada et d’Ontario Creates, aborde les problématiques difficiles liées à la pandémie comme la motivation et la communication, l’adaptation technologique, la synergie de co-création, ainsi que des défis continus comme la découvrabilité du marché et l’équilibre entre vie professionnelle et vie privée. Marie Leblanc Flanagan (Isolés Ensemble) et Véronique Hébert Jean-Mary, CRHA (Rodeo FX) seront des nôtres pour parler de leurs rôles, défis, et conseils respectifs reliés à ces nouvelles formes de travail hybride.

➤ Véronique Hébert Jean-Mary, CRHA (elle)

Vice-présidente des ressources humaines chez Rodeo FX, la force de Véronique Hébert Jean-Mary (CRHA) réside en sa capacité d’aider les entreprises à améliorer leur façon de travailler tout en conservant une culture forte et authentique. Après avoir été directrice des ressources humaines chez Dentsu Aegis Network, elle a commencé son parcours dans l’industrie des effets visuels en rejoignant le studio oscarisé Framestore en tant que responsable nationale des ressources humaines en 2017, où elle y a mené des stratégies RH pour plus de 700 employés tout en faisant preuve d’un bilan de rétention élevé.En 2021, elle apporte son énergie et sa créativité à Rodeo FX où elle dirige actuellement le nouveau département des pratiques RH et du développement des talents, améliorant les pratiques RH et optimisant les processus tant pour les artistes que les gestionnaires.

➤ Marie LeBlanc Flanagan (iel)

L’artiste et recherchiste Marie LeBlanc Flanagan porte une attention particulière sur l’impact des technologies sur la communauté. Iel crée des jeux vidéo expérimentaux, des installations ludiques et des expériences coopératives à l’aide d’une grande variété de technologies, et a donné des conférences et ateliers en Amérique du Sud, en Amérique du Nord, en Afrique et en Europe. Ses résidences artistiques incluent le NYU Game Center, Technoculture, Art and Games, SoftieFeelies, et LiveLab. En plus de siéger au conseil d’administration de plusieurs organisations des industries créatives, Marie est initiatrice du rapport d’étude Isolés Ensemble, fondatrice de Wyrd Arts Initiatives et de Drone Day, et rédactrice en chef de Weird Canada.

Presented by Lenovo, in collaboration with the Canadian Media Fund, the HORIZON panel “Remote Work & Technological Adaptation” offers tips for working from home and thoughts on remote digital creation and production.

Based on interviews and surveys with 70 studios across Canada, Isolation Nation is a report that addresses the issues brought on by the pandemic, such as motivation and communication at work, remote co-creation, technological adaptation, as well as ongoing challenges such as market discoverability and work-life balance. Created by Marie LeBlanc Flanagan with the Game Arts International Network, the Isolation Nation report was made possible through the financial support of Ontario Creates and the Canada Media Fund (CMF). The CMF fosters and funds Canadian content dedicated to all audiovisual platforms, promoting it locally, nationally, and internationally. Marie Leblanc Flanagan (Isolation Nation) and Véronique Hébert Jean-Mary, Vice-President of Human Ressources at Rodeo FX, a visual effects company with offices in North America and Europe, will be on hand to talk about their respective roles, challenges, and advice related to these new forms of hybrid work.

Moderated by Geneviève Guay, CEO, dentsu X Canada, this HORIZON panel promises to shed light on this complex matter.

➤ Véronique Hébert Jean-Mary, CRHA (she/her)

Véronique Hébert Jean-Mary CRHA is the VP of Human Resources at Rodeo FX. She is a forward-thinking, business-driven human resources leader with broad experience in various companies’ growth stages and industries. Véronique’s focused strength is helping companies improve the way they work while still keeping a strong, authentic culture. After 4 years as Director of Human Resources for Dentsu Aegis Network, she began her journey in the visual effects industry when joining Oscar-winning studio Framestore as National Head of Human Resources in 2017. There, she led HR strategies for more than 700 employees while demonstrating a high-retention track record as shown by her team’s Montreal International Award for the “Best International Talent Attraction and Retention Strategy” in 2020. In 2021, she’s bringing her energy and creativity to Rodeo FX where she’s currently leading the new HR Practices and Talent Development department, improving HR practices, and optimizing processes for artists and managers alike.

➤ Marie LeBlanc Flanagan (they/them)

Marie LeBlanc Flanagan is an artist and consultant working in the playful spaces between people, especially related to connection and community. They build experimental video games, playful installations, and cooperative experiences with a diverse variety of technologies. They have spoken, shared work, and taught workshops in South America, North America, Africa, and Europe. Marie has completed artist residencies at the NYU Game Center, at Technoculture, Art and Games, with SoftieFeelies, and at LiveLab.

They also co-founded the Imaginary Residency, an artist-run online residency. Marie founded Wyrd Arts Initiatives a nationwide nonprofit dedicated to encouraging, documenting, and connecting creative expression across Canada; served as the Editor in Chief of Weird Canada and founded Drone Day, an international day for the celebration of experimental drone music and communities.
